Welcome to the Museum of Post and Telecommunications in Wroclaw

The Museum of Post and Telecommunications in Wroclaw is the only museum institution in Poland collecting and protecting monuments constituting a certificate of postal activity in Poland, including Poczta Polska founded by King Sigismund Augustus in 1558. The museum, established in 1921 in Warsaw, from 1956 is located in the historic building of the Main Post Office in Wrocław.

The museum collections are collected in the Philatelic and Mail History and Telecommunications departments. The Library has Polish and foreign literature in the field of philately, post and telecommunications, Polish and foreign magazines and specialist catalogs, as well as antique books and manuscripts.

Exhibitions of philatelic, historical and artistic profile – presented at home and abroad – win prizes and awards, including in the all-Poland Competition for the Museum Event of the Year. The museum has its own publications, which include catalogs of collections and exhibitions, guides and reference books, bibliographies, historical monographs and a museum year.

The museum belongs to the International Association of Transport Museums (IATM).
